Rising Form II students are invited to participate in two
for-credit opportunities during the upcoming summer. U.S.
Government and History of Art and Music (HAM) will be offered
June 1 through June 26* at the following times:
8:30-11:30 a.m. - U.S. Government
12:30-3:30 p.m. - History of Art
and Music
*Please note: Summer at
Hockaday will be closed on June 19, 2026 in observance
of the federal holiday.
It is important to note that
students are not required to take a summer course. It is
possible that taking a summer course will only result in a
free period for the upcoming school year as semester class
options are limited.
Registration will open at 10:00 a.m. on February 2, 2026.
Registration is first-come, first-served, and payment is due at
the time of registration. Classes are limited, and students may
not be absent for more than two days to receive credit for each
course.
Tuition for each summer course is $1,625. There will be no
refunds or substitutions for the Upper School for-credit
courses. Due to limited availability, please make sure the
student is able to attend the course prior to completing the
registration.
Students taking both summer courses
should register for Upper School Lunch. If lunch is not selected
at the time of registration, the lunch option will be added for
an additional fee of $360.
Lunch will be available to
students taking just one summer course for an additional fee of
$360 and may be selected at the time of registration.
A $55 registration fee will apply
for all students.
Course instructors will communicate with students prior to the
first day of class with instructions regarding supplies needed
for each course.
